Selwyn House forms part of the Guardian Care Centre, a purpose built nursing care complex, situated in the heart of the city in the highly regarded residential area of Trentham in Staffordshire.

Garden Walk -  Provides 39 general nursing care beds grouped around a central 'day care' hub giving maximum security and independence in a homely and spacious setting. A range of dining, lounge, and activity areas are available for residents and their guests, together with a hair salon and garden terrace.

Garden View - Provides 40 specialist nursing care beds for EMI residents, utilising the same central design as Garden Walk. The spacious lounge and dining areas look out over the gardens of Selwyn House, whilst the conservatory roof of the central hub gives a delightfully light airy atmosphere to the home.

Home Comforts

As a resident you will enjoy the privacy of your own room, all with private en-suite facilities, and some with private bathrooms. All rooms incorporate individually controlled Central Heating, Telephone and T.V. points, together with the latest Nurse Call Systems. Individual colour schemes and furnishings have been used to create a variety of settings.

Home Cooking

We take great care in providing a wide choice of quality cuisine, and always ensure that special dietary needs and personal preferences are catered for.
Visitors are welcome to dine with residents, and meals can be arranged in one of our dining rooms or, if residents prefer, in the privacy of their own room.

Care with Confidence

In all of our homes you will find a committed team of experienced and dedicated staff who have been selected for their ability as caring professionals and their warmth of character and personality. Guardian Care is an Investor in People company and we are committed to training and developing all our staff to ensure the quality of both the home and the care team meet national standards.

Supervised by a care manager, each home provides 24 hour nursing care and liaises with Doctors, and other professionals, in the provision of a complete programme of care for each resident. In addition, our activities programme ensures that there are plenty of regular events to stimulate both mind and body.

Becoming a Resident

The first step to becoming a resident is to visit the Home. We are happy to talk to all members of the family and to show them the services and facilities available. We welcome residents who are privately or publicly financed, and our Homes Administrator is available to discuss funding arrangements.
