Job Title: RGN/ RMHN/RLDN
Accountable to: UNIT NURSE MANAGER / DEPUTY NURSE MANAGER
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Take responsibility for a group of residents throughout their care.
2. Monitor the standard within the framework of the Company’s quality standards, clinical protocols and operational policies.
3. Ensure effective communication exists between staff, residents, relatives, carers and other members of the multi-disciplinary care team.
4. Maintain an environment for residents, carers and staff that is safe and to stnadard.
5. Keep professional and clinical skills up to date and maintain a personal commitment to professional development.
6. Participate in the staff development programme.
7. Set and maintain a high standard of resident care by personal example and conduct.
8. Report and Liaise with other members of the unit team.
9. Ensure effective deployment of nursing and care staff taking appropriate action at times of staff shortage.
10. Assist Management that all new staff complete their induction programme.
11. Provide effective mentor-ship for those care support workers undertaking NVQ training or equivalent.
12. Deal with any complaints sensitively and report these to Management.
